How we do carpet cleaning differently
Peninsula homes take a different kind of beating: beach sand ground into the pile, salt air and holiday-rental traffic. Sand is abrasive, so we pre-vacuum harder than usual before anything wet goes down.
We cover Frankston, Seaford, Carrum Downs, Langwarrin, Mornington, Mount Eliza, Mount Martha, Dromana and Rosebud, and book Peninsula runs on set days to keep prices sensible.
What a carpet clean covers
Everything on this list is in the price. There is no “premium” tier that unlocks the actual clean.

What we can and can’t get out
Straight answers instead of percentages. Anyone quoting you a “98% removal rate” made that number up.
Red wine & juice
Usually removed completely if treated before it sets. Older tannin stains lighten substantially.
Coffee & tea
Nearly always fully removed with enzyme pre-treatment. Heat-set stains may leave a faint shadow.
Pet urine & odour
Treated at the source, in the underlay — not masked. If it has reached the subfloor we tell you before we start.
Ink, dye & bleach
Often permanent. Bleach removes colour rather than adding a stain, so it can’t be cleaned out. We’ll show you colour-repair options.
Important: some stains are permanent
We get excellent results on most organic stains, but some damage can’t be reversed — bleach spots, permanent dyes, fibre burns. We always inspect first and give you an honest assessment before we start.
The Eco Mate 6-Step Deep Clean
The same six steps on every job, whether it’s a single rug or a four-bedroom house.
Fibre & stain assessment
We walk through with you, identify the fibre type and dye-test where needed, so nothing gets damaged.
Power pre-vacuum
HEPA filtration lifts out the dry soil first. Skip this step and you’re just making mud.
Eco pre-treat & spot work
Targeted solutions for tea, coffee, wine, makeup and the traffic lanes where everyone walks.
Agitation
A counter-rotating brush lifts embedded grit from deep in the pile, where vacuuming can’t reach.
Steam clean & rinse
Hot water extraction, then the pH-balanced rinse that takes the detergent away with it.
Fast-dry finish
Air movers where they’re needed, then a post-groom so the pile sits evenly and looks right.
How our pricing works
We quote each job rather than publish a rate that turns out not to fit your place. But you should know what moves the number before you call.
Fixed price, confirmed before we start
Never an hourly rate. Never a number that grows once the van is in the driveway. The price we quote is the price you pay.
How many rooms, and how big
A room is up to 20m². Anything larger is priced as two.
Condition
Normal wear, heavy traffic lanes, or years of build-up — they take different amounts of work.
Fibre type
Wool needs lower heat and lower alkalinity than synthetic. It takes longer, and it matters.
Pet treatment and stairs
Urine has to be treated at the underlay, not the surface. Stairs are priced per flight.
Access and parking
A third-floor walk-up with no loading zone takes longer than a driveway. We say so up front.
The Eco Mate 7-Day Promise
If anything we cleaned isn’t right, tell us within 7 days and we’ll come back and re-clean it. Free. No forms, no argument, no “that’s not covered”.
We can offer that because we rarely have to.
What our customers say
Real reviews from Melbourne and Geelong customers, straight from our Google profile.
How much does cleaning cost?
It depends on the size of the job, the condition, and any extras like pet treatment — so we quote each job rather than publish a rate that turns out not to fit. What we do promise: a fixed price, confirmed before we start, and never an hourly rate that creeps.
How long does carpet take to dry?
Usually two to six hours, depending on ventilation, humidity and the season. Melbourne winters are slower. We bring air movers when drying time matters.
Do you charge extra to travel to regional Victoria?
Sometimes a small travel component applies for Ballarat, Bendigo and the outer Peninsula. It is always included in the fixed price we give you — never added on the day.
Can you get rid of pet smells for good?
Usually, yes. Urine soaks into the underlay, so surface cleaning only masks it. We treat the source with enzyme and oxidiser treatments. If it has reached the subfloor, we will tell you honestly what is achievable before we start.
What if I am not happy?
The Eco Mate 7-Day Promise: tell us within 7 days of the clean and we come back and re-clean the areas you are not happy with, free. It covers the work listed on your quote, in the condition the property was in when we left it. It is not a refund guarantee and it cannot reverse permanent damage such as bleach marks, dye or fibre burns — we point those out at the inspection before we start.
